Writ petition filed at SC against TU

Advocate Bishwas Poudel has filed a writ petition at the Supreme Court (SC) against the TU's practice of publishing bachelor and master's level question papers in English language only.
In the writ filed on Monday, advocate Poudel has demanded that the court issue an order to the TU to prepare the question papers in both English and Nepali languages. The petitioner has claimed that the practice of asking questions only in English language was against the spirit of the constitution, which recognizes Nepali as the official language in the country.
He further has claimed that the TU's practice of asking question in English had badly affected the students as they were free to answer in Nepali but question was asked in English only. The TU Office of the Controller of Examinations, Examination Board, Kirtipur and Ministry of Education have been named as defendants in the writ
