Sanrakshan, the film, drops first song

A new music video from the upcoming Nepali film Sanrakshan has hit the airwaves. The video, titled Samjhana ko Saarangi, was released via Youtube on Wednesday.

The video, which features actors Saugat Malla and Ashishma Nakarmi, is accompanied by a ballad, incorporating elements from classical Nepali music.
The song, composed by Pravesh Malick, features the vocals of Swaroop Raj Acharya.
The music video, which has garnered more than 75,000 views as of Thursday, has piqued the interest in the movie among filmgoers.

“Salman Khan of Nepal, Saugat Malla. Love you and waiting for this movie sooooo badly,” writes one user Sikchhya Gurung. While another Youtuber, Sarojchemjong, is willing to believe that the film is equally good as the song. “I am sure the film is well-made since I find the song very appealing,” Sarojchemjong wrote.
Sanrakshan the film, a socio-political drama, is based on the ongoing debate between political parties regarding the Madhesh issues and the rise of crime in the southern plains.
Directed by Purnendu Jha, Sanrakshan features actors Saugat Malla, Ashishma Nakarmi, Nikhil Uprety, Ramesh Ranjan and Malina Joshi in the lead roles.

Sanrakshan is slated to hit theatres on August 11.
