Govinda KC begins 11th hunger strike

Senior orthopedic surgeon at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) Dr Govinda KC began his 11th fast-unto-death after government failed to address his two-point demand.

KC has singed a 12-point agreement with the government after breaking his 10th fast after 22 days on December 5, 2016.
KC had served a three-week ultimatum to the government to implement the agreements. His two points demands includes endorsing Medical Education Bill in accordance with Mathema Report and asked the government and concerned authorities stopping the irregularities in medical sector and medical education through six points forwarded by him.

He has also demanded to appoint the assistant dean and campus chief at IOM as per the recommendation made by the IOM dean.
